Director and fine artist, Jess Holzworth’s work may most simply be described as “folk metal.” It is a visual study on rebellion. Holzworth creates a mythical punk aesthetic, a magical vision, which she brings to life in her artwork through images of bikers, female archetypes, animals, rituals and a novel language. Viewing her work is like having a primordial encounter, where freedom, censorship and humor exist outside of convention.
